Healthier Working Futures by Learning Partnerships

Healthier Working Futures – funded by WYCA West Yorkshire Combined Authority was a partnership project working with the NHS, Leeds City Council, care homes, Lighthouse Trust and Health & Care Academy.

Healthier Working Futures by Learning Partnerships

The project was aimed at 16–24-year-olds who may already have an interest in the health and care sector or would like to learn more about the sector and the different jobs available. We held open days and introductory courses which introduced young people to the care industry. Further support was given through 1-2-1 meetings, courses, and visits into care environments, with the aim of progressing them into employment within the sector.  Accredited training courses also ran alongside, delivered by Leeds City College and Smart Works who are also partners.
