    Cath started working for Learning Partnerships in August 2007 in the capacity of Job Zone Contract Manager for an LSC (now Skills Funding Agency) contract called the Learning Zone. Since the Learning Zone the Job Zone team has managed a number of contracts within the field of worklessness. The contracts have focused on up skilling and increasing our customer's confidence and provide dedicated individualised support to help move people into sustained employment. Cath became a member of the Senior Management Team in 2009 and now oversee the delivery of contracts.

    The role of the Extended Services Manager is to support the Cluster in offering full access to the Extended Services Core Offer for children, young people and families. The manager's main duties are to: Work with the cluster's Family Support Team to meet agreed cluster actions for the delivery of parent and family support. Consult with the community to enable appropriate programmes, courses and activities to be made available. Signpost children and young people to accessible and safe programmes, courses and activities that are offered out of school hours and in the holidays. Analyse school and neighbourhood data to inform planning and respond to national agendas to ensure local priorities are met. Work in partnership with other local services eg NHS, Area Committee and Education Leeds, to support the needs of the community.

    Lizz is Co-ordinator of the 'Let's talk money!' financial literacy programme. This course links closely with the Every Child Matters outcome of 'Achieving Economic Wellbeing'; the Children Leeds 'Reducing Child Poverty' priority in the 2009 - 2014 plan and links to the 'Narrowing The Gap' agenda (Leeds Strategic Plan). 2010 is also the European Year for Combating Poverty and Social Exclusion. The 'Let's talk money!' programme provides training for frontline workers, who then deliver the course to clients across the city. Lizz collates monitoring and evaluation of this project for the funders and works closely with other agencies to roll out the programme across the city. Please contact her to find out more. Lizz also works as an Administrator for the Extended Services Cluster Co-ordinators in Burmantofts and Lincoln Green, Gipton and Harehills, and the J.E.S.S cluster in the South. Her normal working hours are Monday - Wednesday, term time only.

Over the past 3 years, Sarah has been involved in the planning, developing and delivering & the New Opportunities programme supporting Lone Parents back into training and work through first step engagement. She is now concentrating on the delivery of the Skilled for Success contract by supporting individuals with no or low qualifications to up- skill and develop within new areas.   • Job Description
    I am currently a Development Worker on the Future Jobs Fund Project. My role is to train and support 18-24 year old people who have been in long term unemployment and have gained a placement through the project. Placements are mostly in Schools and Children’s Centres and within Extended Services. There are several roles such as Community and Family Links, Site Support , Office Support and Sports and Activities Support. We have also managed to place workers with organisations such as Leeds Rugby, Brazillian Soccer School and The Hunslet Club. This has been an excellent project to be involved in with lots of very eager and keen young people gaining invaluable experience in areas they would not normally be able to find work. I support them through their 6 months placement and identify areas for development and any training needs they might have. Towards the end of the placement I support them with job applications, CV writing and interview skills.

    Carl works within the JOBZONE team; primarily on the Skilled for Success Project. As well as recruiting new clients, Carl works closely with our providers: Leeds City College, SRC, Leeds City Council ‘Jobs and Skills’, Vera Media and St Luke’s ‘HITBASE,’ ensuring that the monthly claim procedure is accurate and up to date. Carl also delivers E.S.O.L (English for Speakers of Other Languages) courses, assists with supporting the Jobstop, and all other administrative tasks. In addition, Carl is the first point of contact for most I.T issues within the office.

    Yasmin joined Learning partnerships in October 2006 as a volunteer and was offered a permanent position with the Core Team in April 2007. In July 2010 Yasmin joined the Jobzone team where the main duties are to provide administrative support primarily for the two current contracts. The Future Jobs Fund: Involves administrative support to the project ensuring reference requests, attendance/ sickness logs for the FJF staff and any relevant database and correspondence are accurate and up to date. Skilled for Success: Involves administration, liaising with partners and providers to ensure the projects monthly claims submitted are up to date and accurate. Yasmin also helps with the engagement, recruitment and support of eligible learners for this project.

    I’ve been working at Learning Partnerships since 2007 on youth projects, with a specific focus on youth volunteering. I am currently managing the National Citizen Service project, ‘Summer of a Lifetime’, which is part of a national pilot run by the youth volunteering charity v and the Dame Kelly Holmes Legacy Trust. I also support the development of youth volunteering for Leeds’ Integrated Youth Support Service. I have been working on youth volunteering and social action projects for over 10 years including Millennium Volunteers, Xperience 9, and Slipstream to Upstream. Most recently I have managed the vinvolved Leeds contract where we were successful, working in partnership with the University of Leeds and Children Leeds, for creating over 9000 volunteering opportunities for 16-25 year olds across the city.
